I chose to study in Taiwan because, firstly, Taiwan is known for its high-quality education system and prestigious universities. It offers a wide range of academic programs and research opportunities across various disciplines. Taiwan is also known for its advancements in technology and innovation. It is home to major technology companies and offers opportunities for research and development in various fields, particularly in areas like electronics, semiconductors, and information technology.

Choosing Tamkang

Tamkang University is a prestigious university in Taiwan known for its academic excellence and international programs. It offers a wide range of disciplines and has a strong reputation in fields such as business, engineering, and liberal arts.

There are well-equipped research facilities that allow students to engage in hands-on learning and research projects. Tamkang University may offer state-of-the-art laboratories and research centers for mechanical engineering students to gain practical experience.

I choose mechanical engineering because I have a passion for understanding how things work, designing innovative solutions, and solving complex problems. If you have a natural inclination or interest in mechanical systems and engineering principles, studying mechanical engineering could be a good fit.

My favorite place on campus is the Chang Ching-sheng Square (驚聲廣場) because we can view the best sunset spot which has a relaxing natural feel.

Taiwan offers a rich cultural experience with its blend of Chinese, Japanese, and indigenous cultures. Many international students appreciate the opportunity to explore and immerse themselves in this unique cultural environment.

Taiwan is famous for its diverse and delicious food scene. Many people (I) enjoy exploring night markets, street food stalls, and local restaurants to try various Taiwanese dishes such as beef noodle soup, stinky tofu, bubble tea, dumplings, and more.

Taiwan offers beautiful natural landscapes and outdoor recreational opportunities. People may enjoy hiking in national parks like Yangmingshan or Taroko Gorge, visiting scenic spots such as Sun Moon Lake or Kenting Beach, or simply spending time in one of Taiwan's many urban parks.

Taiwan is often regarded as a safe country with a low crime rate. The public transportation system is efficient, making it convenient for students to navigate and explore the country.

Studying in Taiwan is transformative. I strongly recommend my friends and family unique cultural experience with its blend of Chinese, Japanese, and indigenous influences. It has a rich cultural heritage, vibrant festivals, diverse cuisine, and traditional arts. People who appreciate cultural immersion might find Taiwan appealing.
