People engaged in science and technology research, management, and language studies will find studying in Taiwan particularly beneficial.
I was drawn to study in Taiwan due to its prominence in materials science research, combined with its independent education system, efficient healthcare, low crime rates, and economic freedom. To me, Taiwan is the heart of Asia, highly developed in education, economics, technology, transportation, and tourism.
My decision to pursue a master’s degree in applied physics with a major in materials science at Yuan Ze University was influenced by my desire to conduct independent research in my field of interest. The university’s standing among young universities and my alignment with Prof. I-Ming Hung’s perspectives solidified my choice.
My greatest achievement in Taiwan has been independently handling advanced research instruments and producing quality research. The main challenge as an international student was the language barrier, which I overcame by completing basic Mandarin courses offered by the university.
I spend my leisure time traveling, playing sports, and exploring diverse food places with friends. My favorite place in Taiwan is Kenting, with its unique charm, stands out as my favorite place in Taiwan.
I always describe Taiwan to my family and friends back home as an amazing and safe place, with fantastic people and beautiful natural landscapes.
Post my doctoral degree, I aim to join as a postdoctoral scientist or work in research and development. If I find suitable opportunities, I would like to stay in Taiwan because of the excellent prospects in these sectors. The quality of research and education in Taiwan, along with the emphasis on independent research, will significantly aid my career in both academics and research and development sectors.

In terms of education, both India and Taiwan have their strengths. While both countries offer optimal teaching quality, environment, and facilities, Taiwan stands out for allowing researchers to learn advanced research instruments more independently.
