Taiwan is ideal for me because of its convenient lifestyle, which includes efficient transportation, health security, scholarships, and an affordable living environment.
Exploring New Horizons: Why I Chose Taiwan
I chose to study in Taiwan because I wanted to experience different cultures. Additionally, I was drawn to Taiwan because of its advanced education system and the opportunity to learn Mandarin. In addition, Taiwan is ideal for me because of its convenient lifestyle, which includes efficient transportation, health security, scholarships, and an affordable living environment. Studying in Taiwan has been incredible, and I would recommend my family to come here for a visit and my friends to consider Taiwan for their education.
A Unique Path: Choosing My School and Program
I chose the Department of Smart Service Management at Shih Chien University, which offers a full English course. The program appealed to me because the course sounded unique and very new to me. I believe it has a better career prospect, especially after the pandemic. After graduation, if I get a chance to stay in Taiwan, I expect to have a decent job in my field.
Throughout the admission process, the school felt promising, and the staff were engaging and considerate. While preparing for the application, I suggest contacting the university through email. This approach can help overcome any difficulties during the process much quicker.
Embracing Taiwan: Life and Overcoming Challenges
One of the things I love the most about my study and life in Taiwan is the opportunity to experience and observe different cultures and traditions. However, the greatest challenge for me has been the language barrier. Before arriving in Taiwan, I didn’t speak Mandarin. Currently, my Mandarin is not that good; however, I can introduce myself using it. Fortunately, in this technological era, challenges like this can be easily overcome through tools like Google Translate and by asking friends for help. I am also willing to improve my Mandarin, and that is one of my goals while studying here.
Joy in the Simple Things: Everyday Life in Taiwan
My favorite place on campus is the library. I enjoy going there to study and relax during my leisure time.
Besides studying, I enjoy going for bicycle rides in a riverside park. These rides make me feel refreshed and happy, and they are one of the highlights of my everyday life in Taiwan.
