NTU has a lot of events that really help us learn more. I can join conferences, workshops, and seminars to hear from experts and meet other students who are interested in the same things.
I chose to study in Taiwan because it has high ranking universities (NTU) with strong academic resources. I also wanted to learn Mandarin, which is an important language for my future. Taiwan offers many scholarships for international students, and I was lucky to receive one (MOFA). The country has a good environment for students, with a safe and friendly culture. The cost of living is also lower than in many other countries, which makes it easier to focus on studying.
I chose NTU because it is the best university in Taiwan and one of the best universities in the world. It has a strong academic reputation and excellent research opportunities. I made a connection with my professor, and he had a research opportunity related to my previous studies. This program allows me to develop my skills and gain more experience in my field.
NTU has many events that enrich student's knowledge. There are academic conferences, workshops, and seminars where I can learn from experts and meet other students with similar interests.
My favorite spot on campus is the football field, because NTU has many foreign students from different countries who like playing football. This made me more interested in playing football, and I enjoy meeting new friends through the sport.
When I was studying Mandarin, as MOFA scholarship requirements, I only had six months to pass the TOCFL exam, so that was really hard for me. I had to study many other things besides my classes and Mandarin books. It was a big challenge, but I worked hard to improve my language skills. And now I'm happy that I can speak Mandarin fluently.
Studying and living in Taiwan has helped me become more independent and adaptable. Moving to a new country, learning a new language, and adjusting to a different culture were challenging at first. However, these experiences have made me stronger and more confident. I have also learned how to manage my time better and balance my studies with daily life.
I am considering staying in Taiwan after graduation if there are good opportunities. My study experience here has given me strong research skills, and I have learned new technologies that are useful in my field. Taiwan's education system and research environment have prepared me for future career opportunities, whether in Taiwan or internationally.
I would tell them that studying in Taiwan is a great experience. The universities are high quality, and there are many opportunities to grow academically and personally. Taiwan is also a friendly and safe place to live. Learning Mandarin can be challenging, but it is very useful. I recommend international students to be open minded, make local friends, and explore the culture. This will help them enjoy their time in Taiwan and succeed in their studies.
