Drawn to Taiwan for Technology and Environment

My decision to study in Taiwan was fueled by my interest in technology and the environment. Taiwan’s reputation as a tech hub and its natural beauty made it an ideal destination for my academic pursuits. Describing Taiwan in one sentence is easy: it’s simply beautiful. This single word captures the essence of Taiwan’s charm – from its technological advancements to its scenic landscapes.

Taichung has become my favorite place in Taiwan. It’s a city that perfectly combines modernity with natural beauty, offering a unique living and learning environment.

Learning Computer Science at NCU

I chose computer science as my major because of my profound interest in technology. Receiving a scholarship from my country, I was eager to gain new insights in this field. The friendly vibe of Taiwan and the warmth of its people have greatly enhanced my learning experience.

My greatest achievement in Taiwan has been connecting with a supportive professor and making new Taiwanese friends. These relationships have enriched my academic journey and personal growth. The most significant challenge, on the other hand, is the language barrier. I’ve been learning Mandarin, and despite the difficulty in pronunciation, I’m making steady progress.

Outside of my studies, I enjoy exploring Taiwan’s tourist spots with friends. These excursions have allowed me to experience Taiwan’s culture and natural beauty firsthand.

Sharing Love for Taiwan with Family and Friends

When communicating with my family and friends back home, I always express my deep affection for Taiwan. My experiences here have been overwhelmingly positive, making Taiwan a place close to my heart. I think Taiwan is particularly suited for friendly and easy-going people who can adapt to new environments and cultures with ease.

Future Plans: A Balance Between Home and Taiwan

I believe that studying in Taiwan will significantly benefit my future career, especially given the high demand for information system professionals in Taiwan. While I have a contract that requires me to return to my home country, I am hopeful of returning to Taiwan in the future. The time spent here has been invaluable, and I look forward to potentially coming back.

Comparing the educational experience in Taiwan with that in my home country, I’ve found that the internet speed, environment, and quality of teaching in Taiwan are superior. These factors have significantly enhanced my learning experience.
