Thailand
As an international student from Thailand studying International Business Administration at National Tsinghua University, my journey in Taiwan hasn’t been perfect—and that’s exactly what makes it meaningful.
I’m a university student, but I’m not the best at studying. Even in my fourth year in Taiwan, I’m still struggling with Mandarin, and sometimes my handwriting looks like a child’s. I’m 24 and still finishing my degree, and yes, I’ve failed courses before.
I have many hobbies, but I’m not exceptionally good at any of them. I’ve been playing guitar for two years and can only manage basic chords. I love going to the gym, yet some days I feel too lazy to get up. I try sports like badminton, golf, and billiards, but I’m far from being skilled. I even started vlogging—though most of my followers are just my family.
For a while, I thought maybe I wasn’t good at anything. But does that really matter?
Living abroad in Taiwan has taught me that life isn’t about being perfect at everything. It’s about embracing the journey, stepping out of your comfort zone, and being open to growth. I may not be amazing at calculus or a professional musician, but every experience—every mistake, every small improvement—is part of who I’m becoming.
Through studying here, I’ve built strong friendships, traveled to beautiful places, celebrated fun moments with friends, and created memories I’ll never forget. Those moments mean more than perfect grades or flawless skills.
Life is more than striving for perfection. It’s about moving at your own pace, learning along the way, and appreciating the journey.
So don’t chase perfection—just take your steps forward and live your story.
