I studied at the National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU) in the College of International and Social Sciences, Department of East Asian Studies. The program offers an interdisciplinary curriculum that allows students to explore East and Southeast Asia from multiple perspectives.
The department provides two main areas of study. The Cultural Studies Track focuses on deepening the understanding of language, culture, and religion. The Politics and Economics Track examines East Asia through the lenses of politics, economic development, and international relations.
Each cohort consists of around 50 students, and approximately 20 percent of them are international students. The program provides a multicultural learning environment where students from Taiwan, Korea, Vietnam, Malaysia, and other countries can study and grow together.
This program is highly recommended for those who aspire to build a career in Asia or wish to gain an in-depth understanding of neighboring countries.
Taiwan also offers a wide range of scholarship opportunities. I was honored to receive scholarships from National Taiwan Normal University, the Rotary Club of Taiwan, and local educational foundations in Taiwan.
If you are interested in studying in Taiwan, you can visit Study in Taiwan or attend a Taiwan Education Fair to learn more.
