From Vietnam to Taiwan: Turning Ambition into Reality

Choosing to pursue my master’s degree in Taiwan was one of the most life-changing decisions I’ve ever made. Coming from Vietnam, I was looking for a place that combined advanced technology, innovation, quality education, and an international environment—and Taiwan offered all of that.

I first learned about studying in Taiwan at the Taiwan Education Fair in Ho Chi Minh City. After exploring more information through the Study in Taiwan website, I discovered the Global Communication and Innovation Technology (GCIT) program at National Chengchi University (NCCU). As someone passionate about communication, I was immediately drawn to it. GCIT is the first international and interdisciplinary program of its kind in Taiwan, integrating resources from five colleges. NCCU is also widely recognized as a leading university in Communication and Media Studies, which made my decision even clearer.

Studying at NCCU gave me far more than academic knowledge. The program emphasizes practical learning, so beyond lectures, I joined workshops, study tours, and visited leading tech and media companies. These experiences helped me gain real-world insights and explore internship opportunities. I also enjoyed vibrant campus life, including participating in the International Food Festival, where my team proudly won First Prize while sharing our home cuisine.

Taiwan truly offers the perfect balance: high-quality education, affordable tuition, generous scholarships, and a safe, welcoming environment. More importantly, studying here helped me sharpen both my professional and soft skills, preparing me to work in a multicultural setting.

For me, studying at NCCU was not just about earning a degree—it was about building skills, exploring culture, and preparing for a global career. Thanks to this journey, I was able to launch my career at one of Taiwan’s top technology companies just one month after graduation.

Looking back, turning my ambition into reality in Taiwan was the best decision I could have made.
