Indonesia
Choosing Taiwan for my master’s degree was one of the most important decisions in my academic journey. Coming from Indonesia, I wanted to specialize in Medical Imaging and Radiological Sciences in a place known for strong medical education and research. Chang Gung University stood out to me for its reputation and close connection to one of the top hospitals in Taiwan.
What I appreciate most about studying here is the balance between rigorous academics and a supportive environment. My courses were fully taught in English, and I had access to advanced laboratory facilities that allowed me to engage deeply in research. Regular lab discussions pushed me to think critically, while my role as a research assistant gave me valuable hands-on experience and helped me expand my professional network.
Life outside the lab has been just as meaningful. The campus is convenient and well-connected, making daily life smooth and comfortable. I often study in the library, which is cozy and motivating, or take quiet walks around campus to recharge. Spending time hiking or having dinners with lab mates strengthened our friendships and made the journey less stressful and more enjoyable.
Learning Mandarin has also been an enriching part of my experience. Joining a calligraphy class allowed me to appreciate the beauty of Chinese characters while improving my language skills. It added a cultural depth to my time in Taiwan that I never expected.
For me, studying at Chang Gung University was not only about earning a degree. It was about growing as a researcher, gaining professional experience, embracing a new language, and becoming part of a warm academic community. Taiwan has given me both academic excellence and opportunities to shape my future.
